Johnson & Johnson will settle thousands of lawsuits filed by women who fault the company's vaginal mesh implants for their injuries by agreeing to pay more than $120 million to resolve 2,000 to 3,000 lawsuits alleging women suffered organ damage and were left in constant pain my mesh implants that eroded. Johnson & Johnson faces the most cases in the growing vaginal mesh litigation, among the more than 100,000 suits against more than siz mesh device manufacturers.

October 22, 2015 After hearing the evidence during a 14-day trial, the jurors found the defendants liable for negligence. Specifically, the Delaware state court determined that Boston Scientific had failed to provide adequate warnings to doctors and patients regarding the risks of mesh complications and liable for negligence in the design and manufacture of the mesh product. The plaintiff was awarded $10 million dollars.
$200 Million Dollars
September 14, 2015 Transvaginal mesh manufacturer C. R. Bard Inc. agreed to settle 3,000 vaginal mesh lawsuits for more then $200 million dollars. This is the second vaginal mesh settlement by the mesh maker. In 2014, Bard settled its first group of mash lawsuit cases.
$16 Million Dollars
Danish mesh manufacturer Coloplast settled approximately 400 mesh lawsuits with a $16 million dollar settlement deal in 2014.
$54.4 Million Dollars
American Medical Systems reportedly agreed to a $54.4 million dollar settlement agreement to resolve an undisclosed number of lawsuits.
